About Us

Well Care at Home was started in 2016 by Chelse Newton and her mother, Chastity Lee. Chelse, who was in college at the time, enjoyed being able to care for others – but as a criminal justice major at the University of South Carolina, she was drawn in a different direction than home care. Yet after she graduated and made a new home in Louisville, KY, she still felt a pull toward South Carolina and the company she and her mother built together. In 2018, Chelse returned home for good and committed to the business, ultimately taking full ownership in December 2019 and turning Well Care at Home into the successful care agency it is today.

Now coming up on its 10th anniversary, the company has employed over 300 people in our community, some of whom have been with Well Care at Home since the very beginning. Serving clients in Anderson, Belton, Williamston, Pendleton, Pelzer, Clemson, Easley, Seneca, Greenville, and beyond, this team of knowledgeable and compassionate care aides impacts lives across Upstate South Carolina – the culmination of a family’s dream of helping other families.

Providing quality care to our clients.

When Chelse was little, she and her grandmother would spend hours together, watching hummingbirds flit gracefully from flower to flower. This quality time spent at home with a loved one helped shape Chelse’s life and business. She remembers the feelings of nostalgia, of home, of community, and of love whenever she sees a hummingbird, even today. Well Care at Home seeks to provide its clients with those warm feelings too, providing holistic support for families. Chelse’s hope, and the hope of all the Well Care at Home team members, is to provide the next little girl more quality time at home with her own cherished grandmother, making lasting memories together that are as bright and cheerful as hummingbirds.
